Christmas Tree lighting in Delray Beach, Florida 2011

The lighting of the Christmas Tree in December is truly a symbol of the holiday’s.  The three top cities that get it right are New York, Toronto, and Delray Beach.  All of which have incredible ceremonies.  The Delray Beach tree construction is going on now.  Here at www.LiveInDelray.com we have one of the best views  in the city of this tree-building process and we plan to keep you updated right up to the live lighting ceremony!

The holiday’s are upon us.  When I think of the holidays I think of family, friends and a time to be thankful.  Nothing beats watching Chevy Chase trying to switch on his lights in National Lampoons Christmas Vacation.  They younger ones might enjoy some reindeer movie or Frosty the snowman.  It’s hard to argue the symbolic tree lighting can get even a Scrooge-type into the holiday spirit.  It’s fun to look at other cities and visit them during this time to pull from the best parts of this process.  It’s hard to knock a real life tree and the history behind hit.  Yes, spectators stand in Aw when the fireworks start in Toronto, but when you see Santa Clause fly into Delray Beach, yes I said fly in (on helicopter!) that’s just pretty remarkable too.
