Grace has been in photographic arts for several years and has been on exhibition at 110 East Atlantic Ave Art Exhibit since its beginning in July 2010 along with at least one hundred fine artists through rotating invitational exhibitions and organizational shows put on by prestigious groups in Palm Beach County.  This commercial office property has been a treasure for artists who want a neutral location in which to bring prospects to view and/or buy their works, as well as to be available to the discerning eye ofAtlantic Ave goers as they enjoy the high energy in upscaleDelray Beach. 110 East Atlantic Avenue has had outstanding artists of watercolor, pastel, acrylics, oil, mixed medium, photography, and sculpture.

This city really enjoys the cultural arts and has over twenty galleries and studios, and a performing and visual arts venue in the Arts Garage in Pineapple Grove and in Old School Square School of Art and Photography in the Crest Theater,CornellMuseumonSwinton Ave.  Also, along and aroundAtlantic, it has phenomenal restaurants, light fare establishments, and retail shops that entice all who visit to have a terrific dining experience and specialty desserts; entertainment opportunities with dinner from wonderful musicians; and shopping in unique boutiques on their way around town.

I have asked my artists to share their experience with being shown in the lobby and on the overlooking second and third floors’ unusual layout, outstanding for large scale artworks.  Remember, this is an office complex and not a retail gallery, but it has wonderful redeeming qualities in the heart of the action onAtlantic Avenue.

1. How did find110 East Atlantic AveArt Exhibit initially or how did you hear about 110 East as an art exhibition space?

2. Have you felt that 110 East is a stepping stone for displaying your artwork?

3. What would you like prospective art buyers to know about the diverse artistic selection at 110 East?

1.  My personal story is that as a professor atLynnUniversity, I met Charles Byron Andrews,CEOof Blue Coast Real Estate and Development Group, LLC, when he stopped by my office looking for a marketing intern from theCollegeofBusinessand Management.  He observed artwork in my office and asked if I had plans for my passion in the art.  It led to a conversation about participating in art exhibitions with my ability to create rotating opportunities for my friends and me.  Well, after a short time, Charles called to ask if I might be interested in setting up in this newly acquired office complex with four floors of bare walls. Well, we have been working together ever since, especially because I had just retired from teaching that summer as well, thanks to pursuing my passion in photographic arts.  His office tenants enjoy coming to work every day in a beautiful ambiance that he has created (waterfall and seating area), along with beautiful artwork. My artists and I enjoy the growing visibility that we have enjoyed since July 2010. What a great opportunity in the heart of a culturally supportive city!

2.  110 East has been a stepping stone for several artists and me in that we have gained terrific visibility from our each opening reception and special events where the building is available for the public to come in.   Because of my affiliation with Blue Coast Real Estate and Development Group, I have gained involvement with the Delray Beach Chamber of Commerce in a very successful business executive leads group.  And because of the reputation of the fine art in my exhibitions, I am now a juror for the “Delray Beach Art OnThe Avenue” venue that displays art six times each year in attractive tents along the avenue in strategic locations. I believe in participation for furthering business and social opportunities, so I have joined and have become the public relations chair for the Boca Raton Museum Artists’ Guild, where I provide public announcements for its external functions as well communicate with many talented artists, some of which have shown at 110 East.  People know of my artistic and business abilities, and for me, I am happy to hear nice things about my efforts from so many people in my neighborhood of reach and from those I have helped along the way.

3.  I am a photographer of flowers, landscapes, and still life, and comments about my work have been very uplifting.  Indirectly, I have sold my artwork to people who have come in and that I have created social and business relationships over time. But, as an art curator, people who find their way to the lobby are so impressed with the quality of artworks on all floors, they have commented extremely favorably to the body of work in there at any given moment.  They don’t mention that the lighting is not gallery quality or that they couldn’t find the place because it wasn’t in a newspaper ad; they just say how lovely the art is and glad they found 110 East Atlantic Avenue’s hidden treasure.  Also, on many occasions, artists are proactive and keep the building open on a Friday or Saturday evening and bring in walkers-by to enjoy a free tour of beautiful art.  It is an uplifting experience to hear praise about one’s work and to help others to show off what they do so well.  Oh, did I tell you, I made some very wonderful and talented friends from my affiliation with 110 East Atlantic Avenue Art Exhibition.
